Teams Meetings and Teams may seem confusing at first. They both are unique services. Teams Meetings can be used seperate of and within Teams. This allows you to use a powerful meeting tool, without having to set up an entire Team.

Teams Meetings
Teams Meetings is a service like Zoom or GoToMeeting that allows you to easily schedule, host, and record meeting. This is a built in service of Microsoft Office 365 so it integrates into your Outlook Calendar. Teams meetings is open to everyone with an IECC account. Teams Meetings can be used in the following levels:
- Individual - (any employee) You can set up a Teams Meeting for you and any invited participants to meet.
- Creating/Scheduling Meetings: Client, Web, iOS, Android
- Basics: Joining and using (desktop/mobile)
- Full Features: Joining, participating, recording, and using (desktop/mobile)
- Faculty with Students - Teams Meetings is integrated with Canvas. A meeting can be set up and linked from a wide range of areas in Canvas. Meetings can also be set for online office hours.

A hub for team collaboration in Microsoft Office 365 that integrates the people, content, and tools your team needs to be more engaged and productive. Currently Teams are only being set up for Department/Groups. If you are the head of a department or group please contact the Help Desk to request Team setup.
Individual or Courses use: Teams are not being setup at this level at this time. Canvas is working on courses extended into full Teams.
- Departments - If your department has a department shared folder on the server where you share documents, think of Teams as that and much, much more. With a team:
- Document creation, sharing and collaboration
- Chat
- Organize sub-groups and channels
- Online meetings/recordings
- Planning and Task tracking
