Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois is the Board-approved provider for medical and dental insurance.  IECC provides five insurance plan options for full-time employees and eligible part-time employees as defined in Business Procedure 300.1; four (4) full coverage medical plans with different deductible levels and the Medical Reimbursement Plan (MRP).  We also provide Dental insurance and Life insurance along with the opportunity to purchase Supplemental Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, Vision insurance, Voluntary Long-Term Disability (VLTD), Voluntary Critical Illness (VCI), and Voluntary Accident (VACI) coverage.  Dependent coverage for medical and dental coverage, supplement Life/AD&D, Vision, VLTD, Critical Illness or Accident coverage is paid by the employee through payroll deduction.  Rates are determined annually for coverage effective January 1 of each year.

 

OVERVIEW OF MEDICAL PLAN OPTIONS - 2022

OPTION 1 - This plan is a Qualified High Deductible Plan ($6,000 individual/$12,000 family embedded deductible) with a Health Savings Account

 

OPTION 2 - This plan is a Qualified High Deductible Plan ($2,650 individual/$5,300 family embedded deductible) with a Health Savings Account

 

OPTION 3 -  This plan is a Qualified High Deductible Plan ($1,500 Individual/$3,000 family deductible) with a Health Savings Account). 

 

OPTION 4 - This plan is a more traditional insurance plan with a low deductible ($250 Individual/$750 Family Deductible with copays and coinsurance).

 

Medical Reimbursement Plan (MRP) - In the event an employee chooses to waive coverage for themselves in the IECC Group plan and elects coverage under a spouse’s plan or private insurance, IECC will reimburse up to $3,500 in medical out of pocket expenses (not including insurance premiums) per employee per year.

 

CHANGES TO INSURANCE COVERAGE - to change your coverage due to a life event you must access your account with Benefit Solver (flyer) at www.benefitsolver.com.

You may be eligible for a special enrollment period to change your insurance coverage due to a "Life Change Event".  What qualifies as a "Life Change Event"?

  • Marriage/Divorce

  • Birth/Adoption of Child/Children

  • Placement of a Foster Child(ren)

  • Loss or Gain of other Medical Insurance Coverage

  • Death of Spouse
